In which a barber gifts me an essential but forgotten piece of tea ware, my brother drops the best mix in our series & we wait not an instant longer to try the most expensive matcha seen thus far.
Junko Onishi is a great pianist. I still maintain Classical Indian music is among the world's greatest art forms. My fav living Sitarist is Shahid Parvez, highly recommend him, I've seen him live, one of the best concert experiences of my life. Tea on the beach is indeed nice, but I prefer it closer to waking. Lots of nice memories there, mostly related to camping.
This inspired me to dig up a couple old obscure posts, I don't think I've previously shared them:
Bro this is crazy that it was a Yame Matcha of all things — that's the source where I got hooked via Tea Master in DTLA — all Hoshinoen-produced Yame matcha. Very different from Uji matchas but also very delicious. Loved it.
A lesson I learned from bonsai that you’ve shared expertly w/r/t this matcha: sometimes you just have to do it. Then there’s a harder question: do you do it a second time?

I feel like you can only do it a second time if you can forget the first time enough to make it like the first time all over again?
Something about the beginners mind in there.
